Arsenal fans are growing increasingly frustrated at the lack of transfer action, as the 11pm deadline gets ever closer and there is no major arrivals to Arsene Wenger’s side.

It is obvious to all involved in football that Arsenal need reinforcements up front if they are to sustain their title challenges in the coming months. Despite this, the Gunners have once again left their business till the last minute, leaving Arsenal fans biting their nails.

The Gunners have been linked with high profile players throughout the January transfer window, and it looked like the fans finally had something to be happy about with the suggested deal for Julian Draxler.

However, after weeks of speculation surrounding the Schalke attacking midfielder, the deal appears to be dead in the water, with the two clubs unable to agree on a fee. Now in a desperate attempt to salvage the situation, reports are suggesting a potential loan deal for Miroslav Klose.

Following the blockbuster signing of Mesut Ozil in the summer, Arsenal fans could be forgiven for expecting more major signings to arrive in this window. However while it is obvious that the finances are available to Wenger, there seems to be a major issue with finalising the deals. This could cause a major factor in the final outcome of the league title, particularly as each of the major challengers have strengthened significantly.

One thing is for certain. If Arsenal do fail to make a signing in the closing hours of the window, it could once again be a season of bitter disappointment for the Gunners faithful.
