Transfer deadline day could potentially see both Arsenal and Manchester United sign German players as they aim to strengthen their squad for the remainder of the campaign.

Arsenal are doing everything possible to purchase Schalke’s wonderkid Julian Draxler, as they aim to bolster their midfield options in an attempt to win their first piece of silverware in nine years.

Whilst Manchester United who have recently been buoyed by the recent arrival of playmaker Juan Mata from Chelsea will be hoping they can also add to their squad by securing a move for Bayern Munich’s Toni Kroos, ahead of tonight’s 11pm deadline.

If both clubs are successful in signing their respected player it will be hoped that they will join a long list of successful German players who have graced the Premier League since its creation in 1992.

In this article I pick seven of the most successful German imports who have successful left their mark upon the English game.
