Manchester City are plotting the deadline day signing of West Ham's Ravel Morrison, with defender Joleon Lescott going the other way - according to talkSPORT.
This would be arguably one of the biggest deals of the transfer window, both with the calibre of players involved and both clubs too.
West Ham have already rejected a bid from Fulham from Morrison, but is rumoured that the club won't sell to a close rival especially in a tight relegation battle.
Manchester City are using Lescott as the bait since they are keen on the England under-21 international.
Lescott's contract runs out in the summer but he is thought to be keeping his options open - which even includes playing out the last six months of the contract at the Etihad.
Morrison is not thought to have settled at the Hammers, a similar problem he had at his former club, Manchester United.
Both managers will be working right up until the deadline on this deal, which, in reality, could happen.
