Inter Milan midfielder Fredy Guarin has launched a sensational outburst on his official Twitter account in an attempt to clarify his transfer situation, insisting that he never asked to leave the San Siro despite reported interest from Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
Guarin's situation has been closely monitored by the Premier League trio for much of the January transfer window, although all three nearly missed out to Juventus as they attempted to concluded a swap deal which would have seen striker Mirko Vucinic go the other way.
Inter eventually pulled the plug on that proposed switch and look set to keep Guarin until at least this summer, a stance which led the 27-year-old to broadcast his disappointment with the club on social media earlier today.
Guarin Tweeted: "Inter, it is you who put me up for sale without asking me," he wrote on Twitter. "I was feeling calm and good at the club. I want clarity and respect - for me, my agent and the supporters.
"For the fans, I just want to thank you because you have been affectionate and respectful towards me and appreciated my work.
"If I have to leave, you will always be in my heart because at Inter I made a dream come true. If I remain, I will use all my power and all my heart to help Inter win."
Spurs, United and Chelsea still have a few hours left to persuade Inter that they can do without the versatile midfielder for the rest of the campaign, although that search is likely to be beaten by the clock.
