JR Smith needs to get back to embarrassing defenders like this

New York Knicks star JR Smith insists he's learnt his lesson after he was benched earlier this season.

And while it's been a difficult campaign for the reigning Sixth Man of the Year, he at least showed flashes of his undoubted offensive skill in his 19-point performance against the Cleveland Cavaliers last night.

This crossover in particular was a superb piece of play, JR putting Cavs forward Tristan Thompson on his backside with a downright dirty piece of trickery.

These sorts of plays ultimately live and die by the ability of the player to drain his shot, and thankfully, JR nails this 20-foot jumper.

The Knicks were already well clear of the sorry Cavs at this stage and they ended up comfortable victors, 117-86 at Madison Square Garden.
