Manchester City have put together a sensational bid for West Ham star Ravel Morrison in a swap deal that would see Hammers target Joleon Lescott move in the other direction.
Morrison had looked to be trying to engineer a move away from Upton Park with Fulham looking like his most likely destination, but rumours are circulating that City have come back to the Hammers to try and bring the player back to Manchester.
It would be one of the strangest deals as it was widely thought that Manchester City would limit their deadline day deals to Porto pair Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando in a move worth around £35million for the two.
Allardyce has been a long time admirer of Lescott and could promise him the match time he craves especially with Winston Reid only recently returning to training.
