History suggests Denver Broncos will destroy Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl

Super Bowl XLVIII will showcase the NFL's best offense of the Broncos and the Seahawks best defense, and history suggests Denver could be onto a heavy winner.

The 1989 NFL season saw the Broncos make the Super Bowl on the back of great defense, which had them first in points conceded and third in overall yards.

They went face to face with a San Francisco 49ers team in the Super Bowl that ranked as the best offense in the league, and the result was devastating for the league-best defense.

It's well known that defenses wins Championships, but in this age of the pass heavy league of the NFL, offenses will rule out at the end of the day.

The pocket passers always wins, as the great Joe Montana explained two weeks ago.

It's likely that the game will become a points scoring competition, and if that happens, Peyton Manning will win the contest against Russell Wilson hands down.
