An Arsenal supporter eager to welcome the club's new acquisition got a little more than he bargained for after he received a tweet from Kim Kallstrom claiming they would not be playing for the north Londoners.
Kallstrom became the only signing for the Gunners during the January transfer window as the Sweden international arrived on loan from CSKA Moscow in order to relieve the club's relative injury crisis in midfield.
Following the announcement the 31-year-old would be moving to the Emirates Stadium, one Arsenal supporter tweeted @KKallstrom to pass on their best wishes for the duration of the Swede's stay with the club.
However, this Twitter handle does not belong to the international centurion but to a 'soccer mom in Tennessee' who shares the same name.
@BenAFC78 sent this initial tweet: "@KKallstron Welcome to #arsenal #afc."
Mrs Kallstrom eventually responded explaining that, although she was thankfully for the sincerity, would not be joining the Gunners. She posted: "Thanks...I did play soccer back in the day, but won't be playing for the Arsenal. I am just a soccer mom in Tennessee now!'
She then explained how her son is a 'huge fan' of her namesake and found it 'hilarious' with the confusion. Her initial tweet, at the time of writing, has received over 300 RTs.
