Peyton Manning has insisted that he's not embarrassed with his or the Denver Broncos' performance at the NFL Super Bowl XLVIII, reports USAToday.
The Broncos were heavily beaten 43-8 against the Seattle Seahawks on a sour evening for Manning and Co.
Manning had a nightmare game as he struggled to influence proceedings at the MetLife Stadium, however he's dismissed claims that he should be embarrassed and believes the word acts as an insult.
In his post match press conference, Manning said: "I'll never use that word.
"The word 'embarrassing' is an insulting word, to tell you the truth."
Manning is regarded as one of the finest quarterbacks ever, but will be hoping to quickly forget about last night's Super Bowl.
Manning was hoping to become the first quarterback to win the Super Bowl with two franchises, however it wasn't meant to be for the 37-year-old last night.
After a shocking performance from the Broncos last night, the team, along with Manning, will now set their sights on returning to the top next year.
