Seattle Seahawks coach soaked in Gatorade

Published Add your comment

This will surely prove to be one of the defining images of the 2014 Super Bowl.

After the Seattle Seahawks recorded a convincing 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Pete Carroll was left drenched by a large bucket of Gatorade.

Litres of the orange liquid was poured over the Seahawks' head coach by Russell Wilson - the guy he took a gamble on in the draft last year - and Zach Miller in the aftermath of the team's emphatic win.

Carroll had no idea that the two players were behind him with the Gatorade until the last second - and the moment of realisation before the drenching is very amusing.
