It was a sad day for Denver Bronco fans on Sunday night at the Met Life Stadium in New York City.
The Super Bowl has always been known to be a spectacular event and this year was no different. The week building up to the event was almost as good as the event itself and fans were hopeful of seeing the best defence in the league (the Denver Broncos) vs the best attack in the league (the Seattle Seahawks).
A domination might just be an understatement for the performance that the Seattle Seahawks put in on Sunday night. They managed to close down Denver’s quarter back Peyton Manning on many occasions and he was subsequently barely able to make a pass.
The Seahawks had many interceptions that lead to almost all of their touchdowns. From the start of the game it could be said that they had Denver beaten, from their early field goal it was just an inevitability.
Denver were on the back foot and never seemed to cope with the pressure that their opponents put on them.
Many had placed money on the Broncos to win but the fans can be rightly frustrated at the performance their team put in.
It was quite a surprise to see how much the difference was between the two teams, Seattle won the game 43-8 which was a huge shock to many at the stadium and the millions who watched the game all over the world.
I have no doubt that due to the nature of its result, this year's Super Bowl will go down as one of the most exciting to date.
