In a transfer window that initially promised much drama and the potential for several big-money late signings, Friday's deadline day eventually became somewhat of a non-event with a lack of exciting action.
Although it appeared as if several of the Premier League's top teams were trying to get late deals done, Chelsea's capture of French centre-back Kurt Zouma and Arsenal's loan deal to bring Spartak Moscow's Kim Kallstrom to the top-flight were the only real 'highlights'.
