Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has revealed what happened on Sunday night after his side were crowned 2014 Super Bowl champions.
The 25-year-old, speaking on the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday night, gave a brief insight into the Seahawks’ post-match celebrations.
“We has a blast,” he told Letterman. “We just had so much fun. Macklemore performed for us in the hotel and coach Carroll was up there trying to sign and dance and Paul Allen, our owner, was playing the guitar the whole night so it doesn’t get too much better.”
Wilson, who was also spotted courtside with hip-hop sensation Jay-Z and his superstar wife Beyonce at the Brooklyn Nets’ NBA clash against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night, is now looking forward to returning to a hero’s welcome in Seattle.
“We have a big parade waiting for us, so that will be a lot of fun,” he continued, before adding: “It’s our first Super Bowl win in franchise history, so that’s big. It’s big for us, we worked so hard for it.”
Wilson, we presume, will head straight to bed after the parade in Seattle.
“I’ve probably gotten about 25 minutes of sleep,” the quarterback added.
