Following from the growing success that is NHL's Stadium Series, it seems most teams are now vying to be added to the list for next season.

Reports last week suggested that the National Hockey League were ready to add a further four games next season and has already received a number of applications from hopeful franchises.

Denver are currently favourites to secure one of the games while, surprisingly, Phoenix have also declared their interest.

Now Boston are the latest team to vouch for themselves, according the CBS Sports, with the 70,000 seat Gillette Stadium considered a possible venue.

There is no question that the Bruins will be able to sell the arena out. Fenway Park has already been used to host the Winter Classic but the Gillette Stadium has been deemed more appropriate in this instance.

Mouthwateringly, the game being considered is to be contested between the Bruins and the Montreal Canadiens, promising an intense game for the spectators.
