Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing up the possibility of returning to the Premier League in the summer with the capture of Hugo Lloris from Tottenham.
According to The Express, the French club could be lining up a £16.5m bid, in an attempt to bring goalkeeper Lloris back to France.
The mega-rich club have recently raided England for midfielder Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle, but they believe a top-class keeper is needed to progress to the next level.
And they can have reason for optimism as Spurs face a tough task if they want to qualify for the Champions League, a competition Lloris certainly wants to be a part of.
“The objective is to reach the Champions League. Without Champions League football? I’ve not thought about it. I must weigh things up at the end of the season,” he was quoted as saying last week.
Spurs are currently in sixth place in the league, just three points off the top-four, but PSG are hopeful of tempting the French number one back to his home country.
The club won’t be keen on letting him leave though, with the goalkeeper widely regarded as one of the best in the league, and still having two-and-a-half years left on his contract.
