With NBA All-Star weekend just over a week away, the annual reveal of players footwear is in full swing.
Durant is keeping it close to the family, while a number of players will wear glow-in-the-dark sneakers.
But Washington Wizards' John Wall, and Portland Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard seem to have drawn the short straw.
Adidas has provided the All-Star debutantes will these interesting/appalling (depending on your viewpoint) shoes.
According to the people at Adidas, the Adidas Crazyquick 2 pays homage to the "celebratory spirit" of Mardi Gras.
And with the game set to take place in New Orleans this seems fairly sound logic,
But they could have chosen a nicer image; maybe something to do with the parades or beads which are synonymous with the event, rather than what to us looks like sick.
The cities Mardi Gras festivities are known for excessive alcohol consumption and partying so I guess they are on the right lines.
The shoes are available on a limited basis for $125 starting on February 13 - and for what it is worth, they describe the 'sick' as "solar slime paint".
