The once great Italian team has fallen onto hard times. The team is currently 10th in Serie A, completely off the pace compared to the likes of Napoli, Roma and Juventus.
The seven-time European champions have been on a downwind spiral and possibly part of the reason they have done so badly is because of their former manager, Maximiliano Allegri.
Under Allegri, Milan’s form was just not to the standard of their rivals and they have struggled to perform in the league. Are they in a crisis? Possibly yes, financially they aren’t as great as they used to be and they don’t have many world class Players like they used to.
However there is hope. Since the return of the Brazil and AC Milan Legend Kaka, this has attracted players like Michael Essien and Keisuke Honda to join the club and even the appointment of Clarence Seedorf has seen an uplift.
The scoring form of Mario Balotelli and performances of Stephan El Shaarawy (who is currently injured) can be the catalyst Milan need to get back to the form that will see them challenging for the league and competing in Europe and the Champions League. Though Milan are currently experiencing a crisis, there is no doubt in my mind that the Rossoneri will return to their great form they are notorious for.
