James Harden is going to extreme lengths to avoid being spotted by fans while he does some shopping.

In a new Footlocker ad, the Houston Rockets man discovers the perfect way to avoid detection - pose as New Orleans Pelicans' Anthony Davis.

The commercial shows Davis walking in on his Team USA teammate as he is making the alterations.

Complete with a choice of unibrow, and fitted headwear, Harden is convinced that looking like Davis will help him shop in peace - much to the confusion of the Pelicans' player.

Unfortunately the ad doesn't reveal just how anyone can hide that immaculate beard of Harden's - and were not sure even the most expensive movie prosthetics department in the world could do it!

But we may have found a flaw in Harden's plan.

Even if people fail to recognise the 2012 first overall draft pick, posing as a 6' 10" guy with suspect facial hair would likely prick the interest of even the most focussed shopper.
