These days superstar musicians have a huge portfolio of business ventures aside from their day job.
And 50 Cent - birth name Curtis Jackson - is no different.
As reported by NASCAR.com, Jackson' company SMS Audio has agreed a multiple year deal as an associate sponsor of Swan Racing - one of the sports Sprint Series teams.
And Swan Racing owner Brandon Davis is excited about the link up:
"I'm an entrepreneur, 50s an entepreneur.
"NASCAR's structure, it really allow for and opens the door for entrepreneurs to come in and use this platform for different kinds of marketing opportunities, and this is one of them," Davis told Nascar.com.
And it seems 50 Cent appreciates these opportunities also. SMS Audio was set up in 2011 and is the latest in a long line of business ventures for the music star.
The company logo will adorn the cars of Swan drivers Parker Kligerman and Cole Whitt in 2014.
With 50 Cent due to appear at a number of NASCAR events as part of the deal, including the Daytona 500.
"The marketing power that this gives us, and the diversity it gives us from a marketing standpoint, it's huge for our team," David told reporters.
And with the team having only been established in 2012 it is certainly a step in the right direction. And one that will undoubtedly bring increased media attention thanks to the presence of the multi-millioner musician.
