One conspiracy theorist certainly thinks so...and he has created this video to prove it.

The NFC Championship game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks is largely remembered for the post-game comments of a certain Richard Sherman, but it is fair to say the 23-17 game contained a fair few contentious moments during play.

Contentious moments that for whatever reason seemed to go against the 49ers.

And it all seems too much for one San Francisco fan.

Over 15 minutes the video attempts to prove that the NFL purposefully allowed the Seahawks to progress through a combination of controversial calls made by the team of officials.

Now Anthony Dixon may well feel aggrieved that his first rushing touchdown was overturned by officials - but to claim this is all part of a plan concocted by the National Football League seems a little far-fetched.

Like we say, there is almost 15 minutes of analysis in the video so we will not attempt to relay every single point made.

We admit the fourth down time mistakes had us questioning our own existence for a few seconds but the term 'sour grapes' comes to mind.

But what do you think? Check out the video and see for yourself.

And tune in next week for evidence that Big Foot exists and Neil Armstrong wasn't even an astronaut.
