LA Lakers will travel to Minnesota tonight in the NBA hoping to finally get back to winning ways at the seventh time of asking.

The Lakers last six games have all played out in a similar fashion, with tiredness late on costing them in several close defeats.

At this stage of the season the Californian side have a record of 16-31, and to make matters worse their star man Pau Gasol is out with a groin injury.

His continued appearance may well be comforted by the return of Steve Blake and Steve Nash tonight against the Timberwolves (5pm PT), but Blake told NBA.com that he wishes he could return with Gasol in the line-up.

"It's tough, I was looking forward to getting out there with Pau again," Blake said. "Losing our go-to guy right now, the rest of us have to make up for what he does."

Gasol may well have played his last game for the Lakers, with plenty of trade rumors surrounding the power forward.

The trade deadline is February 20th, so expect plenty of rumors circulating in the coming weeks. We will keep you posted on any happenings at the Lakers this month, as they continue to try and pick up the worst record in the NBA.
