Mike Dunleavy has hit back at DeMarcus Cousins after the Sacramento Kings star called him a 'clown' after the pair clashed in Monday night's match, reports ESPN.
Despite the Kings beating the Chicago Bulls 99-70 at the Sleep Train Arena, Cousins wasn't impressed with the tangle he was involved in with Dunleavy.
However, Dunleavy believes that Cousins was wrong to call him a clown and has insisted that he's never been mocked in this way before.
Dunleavy told reporters: "That's the epitome of the pot calling the kettle black. But honestly I've never been called that before. I guess there's a first time for everything. I don't have much to say about him or that."
Dunleavy was speaking after the Chicago Bulls responded in style against the Phoenix Suns last night.
Having been beaten against the Kings, the Bulls put on a fine performance to secure a 101-92 victory at the US Airways Center.
And Dunleavy will now be looking to put the war of words with Cousins behind him as he targets more success with the Bulls.
The Bulls will be hoping to secure back-to-back wins against the Golden State Warriors on Friday.
