French giants Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain want to bring Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala to Ligue 1, reports talkSPORT.
Mangala has attracted attention from some of Europe's top clubs, with the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City reportedly interested in his services.
However it now appears that the Premier League duo will have to battle with the two French moneybags for the player's signature.
Mangala has been in impressive form this season for the Portuguese giants and has been rated at around £35 million.
Manchester United and Manchester City will both be hoping they can bring the star to England ahead of next season as they loot to further improve their squads.
However, the two Manchester club's immediate attentions will turn to this weekend's round of Premier League fixtures.
Manchester United host struggling Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, while Manchester City will look to get back to winning ways against Norwich City the day before.
