Malachi Dupre has chosen Les Miles and the LSU Tigers on National Signing Day 2014.

The five-star ranked wide receiver picked the Baton Rouge school ahead of offers from Ole Miss, Alabama, UCLA, and Florida State.

He made the announcement at 9.40am this morning.

Dupre was an All-American in high-school, and the 6' 2" receiver is considered by many as the best wide out prospect in the class of 2014 - ranking 17th overall in 247sports.com composite rankings.

In his junior year at John Curtis Christian High School Dupre took 36 receptions for 816 receiving yards, and ended the 2013 season with 15 touchdowns.

LSU had long been considered the favorites to land the player, with Dupre hailing from River Ridge, Louisiana.

And with Odell Beckham Jr and Jarvis Landry heading for the 2014 NFL draft, Dupre has the opportunity to make an immediate impact in his freshman year at Tiger Stadium.

Dupre's recruitment process also hit the headlines recently after LSU coach Cam Cameron took the same flight as the player as Dupre headed for an official visit at UCLA.

So Tigers fans, happy with the news?
