LeBron James to be involved in new TV sitcom

LeBron James is used to wowing television audiences across the country - and the world - with his basketball skills.

But now the Miami Heat star is set to enter the world of TV as a producer of a new sitcom.

According to LeBron will serve as the executive producer for new basketball series 'Starz' which has been given the go ahead.

The half-hour long show will also see television stalwart Tom Werner, of 'The Crosby Show' and 'Roseanne' fame, take on an executive role.

The show will follow the life of Cam Calloway, a fictional basketball phenomenon in his early twenties who is thrust into the media spotlight after signing a major contract with a team in Atlanta, Georgia (the Tawks or Warks perhaps?)

At the minute James is down as executive producer only but we hope he makes a few cameo appearances during the series - and who knows maybe some other NBA stars will be keen to link up with the reigning MVP - it's not like they are media-shy in the pro league.

Shooting is scheduled to begin soon with the first episode to air in the fall of 2014.
