Juventus have identified Manchester City and Chelsea target Fernando as a potential replacement for former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, according to the Daily Express.
The Old Lady will try to entice the Brazilian away from Porto at the end of the season if current midfielder Pogba decides to leave the Juventus Stadium in the summer.
Fernando, who has been linked with a move to Premier League duo Manchester City and Chelsea in recent weeks, is out of contract in the summer so can leave the Estádio do Dragão for free.
Manchester City came close to signing Fernando along with Eliaquim Mangala for a fee of £45million - but the proposed deal collapsed on deadline day.
And Manchester City could now miss out on the Brazilian international if Juventus get their way.
The Serie A giants have refuted claims Pogba could be heading for the exit door over the past couple of months - but it is thought that they may have no choice but to accept a big money offer for the Frenchman.
Pogba's former side Manchester United, French moneybags Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are all said to be keen on signing the box-to-box midfielder.
