2: Michael Jordan - Charlotte Bobcats

Sticking with the basketball court, one of its greatest stars, Michael Jordan took a controlling stake in the Charlotte Bobcats in 2009.

The former basketball legend, baseball player, Space Jam actor and shoe brand has been part of the fold for a while as he previously owned a minority stake in the team before taking full control.

Whilst the team have improved, they aren't great, not by a long shot. Jordan’s management decisions have caused more negative press, overshadowing their playoff place back in 2010.

Rapper Nelly was also a previous minority owner of the team back in their formation in 2002.
