David Beckham announced yesterday his plans to launch a brand-new MLS franchise based in Miami.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid ace will set up a team and build a new stadium in the Florida city, with reports suggesting his side could be up and running in time for the 2017 season.

What was perhaps the most interesting aspect of Beckham's press conference yesterday was that he revealed that he had already spoken to a number of high-profile players about joining his new team.

The MLS is already home to plenty of European veterans eking out a living from football for as long as they can before sailing off into the sunset - so who could Beckham bring to the party?
