Filipino superstar Manny Pacquiao has insisted that Floyd Mayweather should pick up the phone and make the first move to finally get boxing's pound-for-pound kings in the ring before the end of 2014.

Pacquaio ended any flickering hope that his next opponent would be Mayweather earlier this week, after confirming that he will seek redemption in a rematch with Tim Bradley on April 12th in Las Vegas rather than wait around for Floyd.

Mayweather has consistently claimed that he is willing to meet Pacquaio in a clash fight fans have been clamouring for throughout the past five years, but despite that public demand but both continue to move in different directions, however frustrating that might be.

As the media tour for Pacquaio vs. Bradley II gets underway Freddie Roach's top charge is adamant the fight with Mayweather can still be made, if only Floyd would get in touch with a serious offer.

Pacquiao told Sports Illustrated: "All I can say is our hotline is open 24 hours.

"If (Mayweather) calls and lets us know, if he wants to fight, then the fight will be on."

For now the 35-year-old will have to be content with chasing revenge and Bradley's WBO welterweight title, a crown he controversially lost to 'Desert Storm' via split decision in 2012.

Mayweather meanwhile is gearing up for a return to the ring on May 3rd, with either Amir Khan or Marcos Maidana lined up to be his next opponent.
