Shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha's future in Oklahoma City is shrouded in uncertainty as trade rumours surrounding the Swiss star have surfaced as the trade deadline draws near.
This period of the NBA season is usually filled with whispers and rumours of players being traded around in order for teams to take that 'next step' towards championship glory.
The Oklahoma City Thunder are no stranger to a controversial trade (ask James Harden) yet with two weeks before the deadline, they are once again shopping around one of their key figures.
With superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook suiting up alongside him in the line-up, Thabo Sefolosha's name never comes up as a key for Thunder success. Even so, the 29-year-old is a very willing and stout perimeter defender who gives Oklahoma City an extra dimension of toughness on the basketball court.
The question you may ask is why the Thunder would shop Sefolosha? But he has actually struggled with his shooting this season - although there would be a lot of teams willing to fight for his signature if the Thunder are actually willing to trade him away.
For Oklahoma City, they would definitely need to recoup the value given away and through latest news sources there are many other players around the league who are also on the trading block.
According to Jared Zwerling this is the list of players who are on the market: "A. Afflalo, T. Ariza, C. Singleton, G. Davis, R. Evans, P.Gasol, T. Gibson, C. Landry, G. Monroe, A. Rivers, and G. Vasquez."
The Oklahoma City Thunder who are currently top of the Western Conference with a 40-11 record and look to finish the season strongly and make a push for another NBA Finals appearance, the question is will they do it with or without Thabo Sefolosha?
