Arsenal and Chelsea have been offered renewed hope in their alleged pursuit of Jackson Martinez after the FC Porto striker hinted he could be on the move this summer, reports the London Metro.
The Colombian international has been heavily linked with a switch to the Premier League, and is believed to be valued by the Portuguese giants at around £30million.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been credited with an interest in bringing the 27-year-old to the Emirates Stadium, as he prepares to make more high-profile signings at the end of the season.
Jose Mourinho has also been mooted as an admirer of the South American, and could rival Arsenal for Martinez's services as he too looks to strengthen Chelsea's striker options at Stamford Bridge in the summer.
"I think there will be a chance of a move in the summer," confirmed the prolific marksman. "I'm happy at Porto, but it would be nice to play in another big club.
"I like the English league – this is well known of course."
Martinez would certainly add a goalscoring threat at whichever club he ends up joining, having netted a mightily impressive 39 goals in just 47 matches at Estadio do Dragao.
