Deondre Clark to make delayed LSU announcement Monday after bad weather

Clark will make announcement on Monday.

Oklahoma City's Douglass High School defensive end Deondre Clark is set to announce his NCAA College Football decision Monday, with LSU understood to have already received his signed national letter of intent.

Clark will become LSU's 23rd future high-school graduate to commit to the university for the 2014 season. He is rated by many as the top player in Oklahoma.

Unfortunately for all concerned he has been unable to attend his school in recent days due to poor weather in his local area.

Douglass High School was closed on National Signing Day due to poor weather, and it was closed again Thursday and likely will be closed on Friday.

This has forced Clark's decision to be delayed, but USA Today reporter George Schroeder, who was embedded with the LSU coaching staff on national signing day, tweeted that the school had received Clark's letter of intent.

"LSU has received the signed letter of intent from OKC Douglass DE Deondre Clark. #SigningDaySMG." Schroeder said on Twitter.

LSU did not announce Clark amongst their recruiting class, which means the player could well make the announcement himself in a press conference at the school, according to LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette.
