Former NFL player Ricky Williams claims the league doesn't really care about whether players smoke pot or not.
As well as Super Bowl XLVIII, marijuana has been dominating the conscious of NFL fans and commentators, with plenty of intense discussions going back and forth.
Certain studies have found that weed acts as a great muscle relaxer, with former NFL player Nate Jackson revealing in recent weeks that he used the drug to aid recovery from injuries during his career.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, well known pot enthusiast Williams backed up Jackson's stance on the use of the drug in the NFL.
"I don't think the NFL really cares about whether or not players use marijuana."
Williams was infamous during his time in the NFL for using pot continuously, and he failed several drug tests during his career.
If the NFL allows weed, lets hope players don't retire for the drug like Williams did when he first quit the game in 2004.
