Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole will have to take a pay cut if he decides to seal a move to the MLS.

The Daily Star claim Cole, who could leave Stamford Bridge in the summer, will be offered around £50,000 a week if he does decide to move to America.

Cole is currently earning a reported £120,000 a week at Chelsea, however his contract is due to expire in the summer.

The 33-year-old has fallen out of favour under Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho as the Portuguese international has often opted for Cesar Azpilicueta over Cole.

Cole has started just 12 games in the Premier League so far this season due to his omission from the side.

The full-back's former Arsenal teammate Thierry Henry is keen for Cole to join him at the New York Red Bulls.

The LA Galaxy are also said to be interested in enticing Cole to the MLS.
