Manchester United boss David Moyes will look to bring in a replacement for club captain Nemanja Vidic in the summer, reports The Daily Mail.
The Red Devils' skipper announced that he will be leaving Old Trafford at the end of the season, and reports have now suggested that Manchester United boss David Moyes will look to bring in a new recruit in the next window.
Uncertainty also surrounds Vidic's teammate Rio Ferdinand, who is also out of contract at the end of the season.
If Ferdinand does follow Vidic out of the Old Trafford exit door in the summer, then Manchester United boss David Moyes will be left with Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Jonny Evans in the central defensive position.
It remains to be seen as to which stars the Manchester United boss will target in the summer window, but David Moyes' immediate attention will turn to helping the Red Devils qualify for the Champions League.
Manchester United currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table and are seven points behind rivals Liverpool who occupy fourth position.
United take on struggling Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday and will be aiming to secure all three points against René Meulensteen's side.
