Charlotte Bobcats star Kemba Walker believes the team should be focussed on reaching the playoffs, reports ESPN.
The 23-year-old point guard, who has been a key member of the Bobcats' team, believes thoughts of adding another high selection in the next draft, should be put to one side.
Walker told the Charlotte Observer: "I don't see why we can't make the playoffs.
"I think we have a great team and are playing great basketball. As long as we keep it up, I think we can.
"We go out each night with the mindset we can make the playoffs. We practice like we can make the playoffs."
The Bobcats currently have a two game lead on the Detroit Pistons as they target the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
The team boast a 22-28 record this season and have been in decent form of late, having won three of their last four matches.
Walker will be hoping that their latest victory, which saw them beat the Golden State Warriors 91-75, will now set them up for a fine run of results.
In their next fixture, they will take on the San Antonio Spurs and will be desperate to make it back-to-back victories at the Time Warner Cable Arena.
