Portland Trail Blazers' Mo Williams is out indefinitely for the franchise after being given extended leave for family reason.

As reported by Casey Holdahl on Twitter, the player is not with the team as they prepare to face the Indiana Pacers on Saturday night.

thanks for everyones prayers #sheisafighter #sheisstrong"

Williams' sister has reportedly been seriously ill in recent days and the players has left the team in order to return home.

Williams is in his 10th season in the NBA, and has played in 48 of the teams 49 games this season, his first with the Trail Blazers.

Coach Terry Stotts confirmed that Williams would be away from the team for a period of time.
