10. Jaap Stam

If only Jaap Stam had spent longer than three years in the Premier League with Manchester United.

The former Netherlands international, who ended his playing career in 2007, was a man-mountain for the Red Devils between 1998 and 2001.

In all three of those season he was named in the PFA Team of the Year, but a high-profile falling out with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson led to his eventual sale to Lazio.

Fergie later admitted it was the worst mistake of his managerial career.
