Miles Plumlee has become the latest player to benefit from an injury to a fellow NBA player ahead of the NBA All-Star weekend.
The Phoenix Suns Center will reportedly take the place of Pero Antic for the Rising Star rookie-sophomore game scheduled for Friday February 14 in New Orleans.
Antic sustained an ankle injury during the Atlanta Hawks loss to the Brooklyn Nets in London Jan 16. with prognosis stating that the 31-year old would be out for between 2-4 weeks.
Unfortunately for the Macedonian the All-Star weekend falls in the middle of this time period and whilst he is making good recovery the rookie has not returned to practice.
Should Plumlee be instated in his place it will cap an impressive second season for the Duke graduate.
Plumlee is averaging 9.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game so far in 49 games for the Suns.
The switch follows the news that Anthony Davis will replace Kobe Bryant in the main event next weekend.
