NBA leading powerhouse the Indiana Pacers will host the Portland Trail Blazers tonight in what should be an epic cross-conference tussle.
The Pacers are coming off the back of a three-game winning streak that has seen them keep their last two opponents under 85 points.
Coach Frank Vogel admits that their defensive performance has been impressive in recent weeks.
"Our guys buckled down on the defensive end," said coach Frank Vogel, whose team is 32-0 when holding opponents under 95 points. "(Atlanta) made a few shots in the last minute or two, but for the most part we held a pretty explosive team down to 85 points. That's a pretty good effort."
Portland have also had their fair share of great defensive efforts this season, with their coach praising their effort without the ball in their last encounter with the Knicks, in which they edged it 94-90.
"I thought our defense all game was pretty good," said Terry Stotts, whose team started 12-2 on the road but is 4-7 since. "I thought for us to win a game shooting 38 percent, it's not an easy thing to do."
