Barcelona are set to seal a deal for Croatian wonderkid Alen Halilovic from under the noses of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has become known as one the of hottest young talents in European football in recent times, after shining for his current club Dinamo Zagreb.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham have been linked with the player, but it would seem that Spanish giants Barcelona have decided to make their intentions clear and ensure the capture of Halilovic.
An initial fee of €3.6million – with add-ons that could potentially see the amount rise to the previously reported €15million - has been reported.
Despite his young age Halilovic already has three full international caps to his name and has been sounded out as the best player in the Croatian Premier Division.
The possibility of the midfielder switching international alliances to Bosnia and Herzegovina is also real however, with his father representing the country at international level.
Should Croatia decide to take the starlet to the World Cup in Brazil during the summer, Barcelona would want a deal to be completed before to ensure they don't lose out on his talents, with scouts from all around the world watching on.
