Manchester United boss David Moyes is hoping to go Dutch this summer with a double swoop for Kevin Strootman and Georginio Wijnaldum, reports the Daily Star.

Moyes added the record signing of Juan Mata to the Manchester United midfield in January but still isn't satisfied with his options in the centre of the pitch.

The Red Devils manager has not had the best start to life at Old Trafford, sitting 10 points off fourth placed Liverpool with a game in hand.

In order to make sure Manchester United return to the top of the Premier League next season Moyes is planning a busy summer period, which could include moves for the Dutch internationals.

Kevin Strootman has been on the wish list of Manchester United for a while, attracting the attention of Sir Alex Ferguson while at PSV Eindhoven. The 23-year-old moved the AS Roma where he continues to develop in to a dominant midfielder.

Strootman is thought to be valued at £33m by the Rome-based outfit and Moyes is tempted to splash the cash to secure his services.

He could swiftly be followed by the 23-year-old PSV ace Wijnaldum, who is valued at £9m by his club and has also attracted the interest from Liverpool in the past.

Both players are expected to make the squad for the Netherlands' World Cup campaign and a handful of good performances could see their price tags rocket.
