Premier League: Predicted summer transfer business (2)

Published 2 Comments

Tottenham

Tottenham were the most active club in the summer transfer window of 2013.

Not only did they agree to sell star player Gareth Bale to Real Madrid for world record fee but they also signed a host of top stars themselves, breaking their transfer record three times.

But the likes of Roberto Soldado and Erik Lamela have failed to settle and the large amount of imports has disrupted the progression at White Hart Lane.

A left-back is a must for Tim Sherwood and most fans would like to see a striker come in. However, unless Emmanuel Adebayor or Roberto Soldado can be offloaded, it is unlikely we'll see a big name come in.

Alex Buttner has been linked with a move to north London after struggling at Manchester United and a deal for the Dutchman looks more than possible.

Tottenham will learn their lesson from last season and will avoid wholesale changes. They have a fantastic squad but must wait for it to gel to reap the rewards.

Ins: Alexander Buttner (Manchester United)

Outs: Lewis Holtby
