Arsenal's title challenge has come as a pleasant surprise for fans, who expected the Gunners to be fighting for a top four place as usual.

The purchase of Mesut Ozil has undoubtedly played a big part in their ascent up the league and Arsene Wenger may have been convinced that spending big is the way to go.

The Gunners have been lucky enough to see Aaron Ramsey develop in to a top class player while high hopes remain for the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

However, Arsenal will need to strengthen if they are to continue challenging for the title next season. They will need a top class striker, a midfielder and potentially a right-back if Bacary Sagna departs.

Diego Costa has long been linked with a move to the Emirates but Julian Draxler looks like he could make the switch this summer ahead of the Atletico Madrid star.

This summer could see a number of fringe players depart as well

Ins: Julian Draxler, Lukasz Piszczek, Lars Bender

Outs: Francis Coquelin, Ignasi Miquel, Nicklas Bendtner, Bacary Sagna
