Arsenal have been handed a further blow after their thrashing at the hands of Liverpool on Saturday, as both Bacary Sagna and Lukasz Fabianski have turned down the club's latest contract offer.
According to the Daily Star, the Gunners are reeling further as both players are set to depart Emirates stadium come the end of the season as their contracts expire come the summer.
The departure of Fabianski is not a great surprise as his first team chances have been limited since the resurgence of current number one Wojciech Szczesny, but Sagna will be more difficult to replace.
One of Arsenal's most consistent performers since he joined from Auxerre in 2007, Sagna is interesting Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea, according to the report, which would be a massive blow to Wenger.
Liverpool were 4-0 up inside 20 minutes in the early kick-off on Saturday in the Premier League and the eventual 5-1 defeat meant a miserable day for the Gunners, who lost their place at the top of the Premier League to Chelsea and, more importantly, lost momentum going into a crunch clash with Manchester United on Wednesday.
