Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva has revealed that he would love to see the French champions add Chelsea winger Eden Hazard to their star-studded squad this summer, also telling L'Equipe that players at the Parc des Princes are routinely asked about transfer targets.
Hazard has been consistently linked with a summer switch to PSG following a brilliant campaign at Stamford Bridge, which has so far brought Chelsea's top scorer 12 goals in 25 Premier League games.
Chelsea managed to get through the January transfer window without receiving a concrete offer for the Belgian international, but Brazilian defender Silva would love PSG to make their interest formal this summer and lure the wing wizard to Ligue 1.
Silva told L'Equipe last weekend: "It's normal that a president discusses [transfers] with the players," the Brazil defender told L'Equipe.
"When there is a new name that comes out in the press, the president discusses it with us. Sometimes, I speak directly to Zlatan [Ibrahimovic]. It's normal to ask ourselves if a player can make us us stronger.
"I would welcome [Hazard] with open arms, like we did with all our recruits. We need players like him to achieve our project and win everything. He is so strong tactically and technically. All the great players are welcome in Paris."
PSG eventually turned their attention to a different long-term target in January, completing the signing of French international Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle United for a fee of €24m.
Blues boss Jose Mourinho is braced for another fight to keep his star man this summer, particularly with the World Cup providing another showcase for the diminutive playmaker's talents.
