Sunday night was a pretty damn good one for the Los Angeles Clippers, as it turned out. With All-Star point guard Chris Paul back on the court, Doc Rivers' crew thrashed the woeful Philadelphia 76ers 123-78 at Staples Center.
Paul, who had missed the last few weeks due to a separated shoulder, played 23 minutes on his return, scoring seven points and dishing out eight assists.
On an evening to remember for the Western Conference challengers, Blake Griffin stole the show and electrified the crowd in typical fashion with a pair of incredible back-to-back windmill dunks.
With five minutes remaining before half-time and the Clippers already up 58-21, former first-overall pick Griffin underlined their superiority with the first dunk which came as a result of a Paul-led fast break after a bafflingly bad Michael Carter-Williams was picked off.
Not content with just one rim-rattling dunk, however, Griffin unleashed another on the very next play.
Carter-Williams was unsuccessful once again with a pass and Paul threw up another impressive lob for Griffin to hammer home in superb fashion.
