Southampton defender Jose Fonte has admitted he is not willing to forgive Dani Osvaldo following their training ground bust-up, according to The Guardian.
Fonte has revealed the striker, now on loan at Juventus, has text him apologising, but he is not interested in forgiveness.
"There have been a couple of text messages, apologising and stuff, but some things take time to heal," Fonte said.
The incident, which happened last month, allegedly left Fonte with a black eye and led to the Italian being suspended by the club.
The Italian was immediately told he was allowed to leave the club, and the Seria 'A' champions loaned the player. A move which Fonte thought was best for everyone.
"The situation has happened and the team, the manager and the club made everyone well aware that it would be best for him to move on. And for that to happen, obviously, the group felt there were no conditions for him to keep with us. It's as simple as that."
It was not the first time the striker had hit the headlines for the wrong reasons. He had previously been fined and suspended for punching Tottenham's Erik Lamela, while they were at Roma, and also for hitting a teammate at Bologna.
Despite this, the Old Lady were keen to loan the Saints' record signing, and may move to make it a permanent deal in the summer.
