Peter Crouch moved a step closer to becoming the most prolific headed goalscorer in the Premier League’s history after finding the net in classic style at the weekend.
The former England international diverted a Charlie Adam corner past Artur Boruc to clinch a 2-2 draw for his side against former club Southampton. It was the 42nd time Crouch had scored with his head.
Five more headed goals and Crouch move to the top of the list for the most ever scored in such fashion since the Premier League’s launch in 1992, which is not completely unexpected given that he is 6ft7in.
