Kevin Durant hardly needs much help to score this season, with the Oklahoma City Thunder star averaging 31.2 points-per-game, but he was given something of a helping hand by Carmelo Anthony at the weekend.

Anthony may be wishing his peripheral vision was more proficient after he fell for a huge screen from Kendrick Perkins that allowed Durant to add to his tally after moving unopposed into Knicks territory.

With the ball deep in his own half, Durant had Anthony in front of him as he went for the dribble but, as Melo turned to give chase, he got a face full of 6ft10in Perkins as he used his sizeable frame to protect his teammate.

Durant then headed towards the rim and got the foul, before sinking his free-throw attempts. The MVP contender was able to score 41 points as the Thunder got the by 112-110.

Anthony, on the other hand, was only able to grab himself only 15 points as the Knicks feel to defeat.
